“Plants” follows young weed dealer, Amy, through the course of an eventful evening, where she must deal with a new and unexpected client. We set out to tell an empowering story of a woman using weed to support herself and the people who try to take advantage of that. Frustrated with the often disparaging depiction of women in film and their relationship with weed, “Plants” was an important project for us as a chance to create a character that we often don’t see in media.
